The Bradford wool market is quiet but firm; forties 12.Jd, others are unchanged.. At, the London wool sales there..is spirited, competition for fine c'rossbreds, which are largely taken for America. The .Straun 'clip sold at 15d, and Kawarua at 18£ d. The sales close oil' the 20th inst. instead of the 22nd. ■••; ' The butter market is- steady; for Australian and New Zealand, there is little doing, and prices are unchanged. : The cheese market is firm.
