The Wanaka is expected here about "Wednesday next, to load for Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. The Kotare is expected to arrive here to-dav from ."Waikawa with a cargo of timber. Mr D. Stuart is the vessel's agent. The Turakina is expected to arrive liere some time to-day from the Bluff. She will take in a cargo of wuol, meat and grain for London. The Union Company's big Calcutta, steamer Aparima is to leave Calcutta for New Zealand ports on July 25fch. and is due in Wellington about 31st August. > m ' The Corinna arrived here on Thursday afternoon from Wellington with a general cargo to land. After discharging she sailed late the same day lor the south. The Kini arrived yesterday morning from Dunedin, and landed 80 tons ot general cargo. She took in sitiout 300 tons of cargo for the West Coast, and sailed last night. The Norwegian, barque Ashmorc completed her loading, yesterday. and, weather permitting, saits to-day direct for South Africa with a full cargo ot grain. . The vessel is under charter to a Christchurch firm.

ON THE HAKJ). Per Press Association HOKITIKA, July 10. Whon the Jane Douglas was. being refloated vesterday ab Okarito it was discovered" that she was making water. It appears that the vessel is leaking at the seams near the engine-room, and took in a good quantity of water. The vessel was hauled up on the lwach, and gear is being sent south' to rexivet the bottom, where it is defective, and the boat will bo subsequently launched into the river near which she now lies.
