The weather was dull, and tlxero was only a moderate attendance when the match against Gloucester was resumed to-day. The wicket liad improved. Maealister was taken rather easily in the slips after capital all round play. His innings lasted Go minutes.— 1 for S4. Bardsky, playing with the utmost confidence, saw his partners go one after another, while he maintained his position. His innings was characterised by fine cutting and leg liitting, and was brilliant throughout. He gave a chance, although a difficult one, when he had scored 144. He brought up his second century after four hours' play. He gave another sharp chance to Langdon at point when he had scored 187. Hartigan was taken brilliantly low down. 2 for 93. Trumper got his score in 45 minutes, and made some good drives. 3 for 15. The resumption of play after lunch was delayed for 25 minutes owing to rain. Gregory played steadily for 70 minutes, when Board stumped liim. 4 for 285 Armstrong played steadily for an hour, and then got his leg in front. 5 for 347. Bnrdslev was taken easily at- mid-off, after a splendid all round innings, occupying 280 minutes. He hit 26 fours. Noble showed fine driving power.
