At to-night's meeting of the Auckland Branch of the Liberal and Labour Federation, a resolution, moved by Mr Gresham, City Coroner, was carried — '"That in view of tho abandoning and putting away of newly-born infants which at present prevails in the dominion, tile Government be urged to establish a foundling hospital, such institutions tending to discourage infanticide."
