The Wellington Presbytery to-day passed a resolution recommending that collections for unemployed be taken up in the congregations. Some statements made at a recent citizen meeting wero criticised by the members of Presbytery, -who combatted the argument that standard wages should bo paid for relief work, it being feared that this would lead to others out of employment rushing to Wellington.
