At n. meeting of tlie Wanganui h'-aneh of th» Engine Drivers and Firemen and Cleaners' Association, a motion was unanimously carried condemning the hostile attitude of the president and tlie executive of the Am alga ma tod Society of Railway Servants, and the memhers pledged themselves to support in every way their own grand council, already representing 70 per cent, of tlie locomotive staff, as the only association calculated to further their interests, and as the only one in which they have any confidence. Arnst Bros. and Fogwell, with Brown-Parker, intend touring the Dominion and Commonwealth, giving athletic, and picture exhibitions. ITITNEMN, .Tune 28. The. new home for the aged and infirm, under the charge of the Little Sisters of the Poor, was opened nb Anderson's Bay yesterday. The building cost £IO,OOO. The speakers included Archbishop Redwood, Bishop Verdon, and Williams. A collection taken up realised £320.
