POINT SALE. The ordinary fortnightly sale was held at the Point yards yesterday. The yarding and likewise the attendance was small. About 1800 sheep were -penned, made up principally of fats and store wethers. Although the attendance of buyers was small, competition was good, and every lot offered found a buver. Fat wethers sold at 14s 3d to 15s 4d, fat ewes 8s 6d, 9s, 10s 6d, 10s 7d to .0s 9d. fat lamhs 12s, IS Id, 12s 6d, 12s 9d, 12s lOd to 13s, store lambs 9s, 9s lOd to 10s 6d; a line of store wethers off tnssock sold at 9s. Cattle. yarded, composed chiefly of well-bred station cattle. Prices ruled as follows: —Fat steers -*» nd heifers to £7 10s, fat cows to £6 ss, young cattle £2 10s to £4 os, springers £3 10s to £6. WAIMATE SALES. Messrs Wall and .Martin report on their weekly sale as follows: —Pigs We~had a rather short entry of 23 weaners and stores. -There was a good demand, and alt >ines were quitted at satisfactory prices, showing an atlVance on- last week's rates. Weaners from 12s to 16s, stores from 27s to 3fis. Cow in profit £5. Poultry-—Hens Is 3d to Is sd, roosters Is 5d to Is Ski. geese 2s to 2s 9d. Produce. —Table potatoes 6s to 7s fid, pis potatoes 2s. chick wheat 10s 6d to 135.. oats 6s 6d to 7s 6d, carrots 2s, swedes 2s, p.irsnfas marrows 3d to 5d each, onions Id ner lb, oranges 6s 6d to 8s Gd.
