TAIHAPE, June 25
At a meeting held hero to-day, of the joint committee of the Wanganui Hospital Board and the local committee, it was decided, to instrnct the Board's architect to prepare plans for a hospital here, the cost not to exceed £2500. It is to be hoped the Board will provide funds for equipment, as the cost of the building is covered by residents of the district, supplemented by Government subsidy.
WELLINGTON, June 25
.Tames Maiarhi Sheridan was sentenced to-day to six months' imprisonment on seven charges of theft from unoccupied buildings.
CHRISTCHITRCH. June 25
A man named James Weston pleaded guilty to-day to a charge of making a fake declaration to obtain a marriage certificate, tie being at the time already married. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
