TEMUKA ROAD BOARD.

MONTHLY -MEETING

The monthly meeting of the Temuka Road Board was held yesterday, l'retent: Messrs John Talbot (chairman), U. Hide, G. W. Armitage, A. Bissett and I'. Coira. i'. Coira. The clerk to the Levels County forwarded copy of a telegram from Mr Triggs, conciliation commissioner, in re the award as to the general labourers dispute, stating that County -Councils and Road Boards were exempt from the general labourers' award.

The overseer was instructed to report on the road, and the repairs were ordered to be carried out. The overseer's report dealt with the wok of the oast month and mentioned that .Monalian Bros, were unable to enrrv out their contract on the 1' arm road owing to the shingle from Elliott's pit" proving unsuitable, and that when the roads are fit they will complete.
