THE AMATEUR DEADLOCK". Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 31. At a meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to-nijiht, the .secretary reported that no reply had been received from Mr W. G. Atack, who had been requested to forward the books and documents of the Association which were in the possession of the old Council in Christchurch. It was resolved that the chairman, the secretary, and Mr Larjtiu be instructed to take a legal opinion as to the steps to be taken to recover the moneys" and documents of the Association now in the. hands of the old Council, and that they take action accordingly without calling a further meeting.
