"jVTOTICE is hereby given that under JLA " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," "The Local Bodies Loans Actj 1908," ''Tho Local Bodies Loans Amendment Act, 1908," and in pursuance of all other powers possessed by the Timaru Borough. Council, POLLS of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Timaru will be taken on WEDNESDAY, tho 19th day of MAY, 1909, on the proposals of the Timaru Borough Council to borrow the Special Loans set out in the schedule hereto (each haviug a currency not exceeding 50 years), each bearing interest and sinking fund together not exceeding £5 10s per centum per annum, or such, greater or lesser amount as may be required and may be allowed by law for the purposes set opposite each loan in the said schedule thereto, and .for other purposes in relation thereto prescribed .by the said Acts or any of them, and that the proposed security for each of such loans is-the-special rate set opposite thereto iu the schedule, calculated on the annual rateable value of all the rateable property in the said Borough, and that the provision for repayment of each of the said loans is a sinking fund -of £1 per centum per annum on the amount of each loan re-: spectively, or such greater or lesser amounts as may be required and may be allowed by law, and that the cost of raising, and the first year's interest on each loan may be paid out of such loan.
