The " Daily Mail's " Salonika correspondent reports that Talaat Bey, Vice-President, of the Chambers, secured Abdul Hamid's signature to the> withdrawal of funds from foreign banks. Some reports mention the transfer of £2,00fJ,000. Talaat Bey tailed to obtain the keys of two strong rooms at the Yildiss Palace. The officers guarding the Sultan's residence at Salonika thereupon compelled Abdul Hamid to surrender the keys.
