DUNEDIN, May 10. The Hospital and Charitable Aid Board has secured a site of 80 acres two miles south of Palmerston for a, consumption sanatorium. The cost is about £IOOO and there are buildings on the ground which will fit into the plans of a complete building. Sufficient accommodation will be provided to answer Southland requirements as well as Otago. It is also intended to provide for paying patients with separate accommodation. It is hoped to make the institution self-supporting from revpatients, keeping cows, etc. It is intended if possible to secure a similar country site for the benevolent institution where the more robust inmates could do a little farm work and v»here all would be removed from the temptations surrounding city life.
