The results of the Maiden Stakes at ■the Palmerston coursing meeting are as follows: —Deerfoot beat Messenger, Sunny Morn ran a bye, Golden Girl beat Nightshade, Clem Black beat Rose Glen, Spiteful Nellie heat Gentleman Jim, Armota beat Jupiter, General Kuropatkin beat Glen, Necklace beat Peptone, Master Gunner a .bye, Gold Quart beat Dandy Pat, Field Day beat Waipatua, Attahau beat Don, Bender's Boy beat Miss Advance, Cardiff beat Wolftone, Miss Winnie beat May King, Catch-as-Catcli-Can beat Spearmint. MEETING AT OAMARTJ. OAMARU, April 30. At a meeting of ! the South Island Coursing Club, Mr J. Taylor's Milbank beat Mr O. R. Wise's Jovial, and won the Maiden Stake. In the Supplementary Stake, Mr J. Marsh's Tracker beat Mr Prosser's St. Leger, and won the stake.
