Subject to any necessary alteration* mails will close as under:— For Northern ports of New Zealand, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 12.50 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and •Saturday, ■ 3.30 p.m. For Temuka —6 a.m., 12.50 p.m., and 3.30 p.m. A For Geraldine —6 a.m., 12.50 p.m., and 4 p.m. For Ashbarton and Christchurch—6 a.m., 12.50 p.ni., and 3.30 p.m. . For Oamaru and Waimate—6 a.m., 10.30 a.m., and 3 p.m. For Dunedin —10.30 a.m., and 3 p.m. For Fairlio, Albury, and Pleasant Point —4 p.m. daily, and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 6 a.m. Late letters, bearing an additional Id stamp, can now be posted in box near main entrance to railway station. Box will be open for 15 minutes before express trains are due, and closed on their arrival at platform. The next mail for the United States and Canada will leave Timarn on May 11th, via Vancouver.
