the room would seem to swim round me. 1 had to have light food only, and especially cooked for me; as it was there were times when I couldn't keep anything down. I'd get no relief till I'd reach up what I had swallowed, and however light the food was I got the pains just as badly. I was thoroughly wretched in my spirits. I lost all my colour and got as sallow as possible, and thin as well. My heart would palpitate alarmingly with the wind that was round it. I dreaded to eat and my appetite was always very poor. The attacks after each meal would last fu'lly three hours. I had severe headaches in the forehead and back of the head, and I just have to go and lie down. Scalding hot water would rush up into my throat, with a hitter taste. As to strength I had none. The doctor's treatment did mo. good only for a little time.
