ELECTION OF SHOOL COMMITTEES.
KINGSUOWN. The annual meeting of householders was presided over by Mr It. Fenwick. The retiring Committee reported tliat the total receipts were £44 13s Dd, expenditure £39 os, leaving a credit balance of £5 3s. On the motion of Mr J. G. Martin, a vote of thanks was accorded to the outgoing Committee for their services. The election of a new committee resulted as follows: —Messrs R. Fenwick (chairman), U. Averis, J. Simmons, J. Shaw, H. HolmeJ£ J. G. Martin, and J. Thomas. The chairman and Mr Holmes were authorised to sign cheques on behalf of the Committee. The chairman and Mr Martin .were appointed visitors for the.month. It was decided to procure a supply of fuel for the sclidol. CLANDEBOYE. At the annual meeting of householders only six were present. The chairman (Mr W. Stewart), in presenting the annual report, stated that matter.? had worked smoothly. The treat and prize-giving held at the beach near Mr Parkes were the most successful and best attended yet held. A new departure had been tried, viz., books and useful toys replacing the trumpery toys usually given as running prizes. Miss Mailing had been granted three months' leave of absence, her place being filled by MV O'Connor, under whose instruction the children were making good progress. There was a credit balance of £6 18s lfld, the financial position being sounder than at any time since the school was started. He thanked members for their willing cooperation during the year, his duties ijn consequence being comparatively light. The report was approved, alter which the election of a new committee resulted as follows: —Messrs J._lnton, J Nolan, F. Parkes, H. McDonald, and W. Stewart. Mr Stewart was reelected chairman. Mr Kolleston having generously donated firewood to the school, it was decided to thank Inn for the same.
