The conference is ii corollary to Mr Asquith's recent suggestion. In the House of Commons, in replying: to questions, Mr Mclveniia, on behalf of Mr Asquith, stated that for all practical purposes, the American navy did not enter into the Government calculations' regarding the two-power standard. ■ .
