A body found in Manakau Harbour has been identified as that of William Taylor, a single man, 28 years of age, who left his home at Ponsonby a week ago seeking work. As a capsized boat was found in ttie vicinity of the body, and as the hitter was fully clothed except for boots and socks, it is surmised that lie came by his dcatli through being upset. At the inquest touching the death of Joseph Thawley, who was run over by a mail train, Enoch Thawley, sou of deceased, deposed that he saw his father alive about a week ago, when he was in indifferent health and was in Wellington for the purpose of consulting a doctor.
