To-night this , well and : favourably known .company will inaugurate . their return season.in the Theatre Poyal and promise ;to submit an all-new programme' of .pictures .arid music, equal to arid. in' some, respects siiperior to their previpxis- visits. The name of "West's pictures;, i'tCTimaru.'-.is so wellknown iii connection with thts;class of entertainment; for being up to date and. attractive, that it is safe to predict that a large audience will assemble to greet them. Mr West has always endeavoured to submit something new, either in picture or topical interest or of some attractive achievement in cinematography, and premises to adhere to that principle this evening by presenting two of the latest and most interesting innovations in the 'moving picture business both having a. distinctive importance. One is called the "cinephone." by which the harmonising sound applicable to the picture hs>. it is unreeled is demonstrated. The success of the cinepbone is immediate, and lias been received everywhere with enthusiastic expressions of approval.
