In giving judgment iu a ease in which th.; manager of-the Northern Steamship Company was charged- with selling liquor on the steamer .Gael, while moored alongside the Waipti whuri', Mr Kettle, S.M., said that the steward had given liquor in exchange for fowls which were not intended for the company. He did not think the defendant or his Company liable, and dismissed the information, hut expressed the opinion that the. steward should be prosecuted. ~
