The explosion of "the compressor hurst tfye fresh air pipes at the Langlaagte deep mine on the Rand. Sixty natives and nine whites were overcome by foul air; eight of the former succumbed, the whites are recovering. Per Press "Association: DUNEDIN, March 26. The Coroner found that Andrew Kerr's death was the result of corrosive sublimate poisoning self-administered while insane.
