The Postmaster-General has reeci-e.cl from the London Post Office 'intiiimiou that arrangements-have been inah; lor a regular mail service via San Francisco, Papeete, Wellington, and Sydney. The Mariposa, from San Francisco, will connect witli the steamers of the Union Company at Papeete and bring on the mails to Australia. Owing to the recent irregularity of the service from' San Francisco by the Australian mail line, the new service will be used for correspondence via San Francisco. The mail will be due in Sydney from -11 to 15 days alter tospateh from London.
