WRECK OF THE PENGUIN.
RECOVERY OF BODIES.

• ; WELLINGTON, Feb. 26. One of the bodies-; recovered on Tuesday from the wreck of the Penguin has been identified as that of Mr Charles Alexander, chief steward of the vessel. The body of Mr James Collins, of Charleston, which was recovered on Tuesday/ will be taken to the Ahahuri to-morrow, to be conveyed to Westport. The funeral and burial will take place at Charleston. Yesterday "afternoon another body was found on the beach near the Oterangi station. It was that of the seaman > Henderson,. and had on a Union Company jersey. The body was brought to town. to-day by the Union Company's tug Terawhiti, which made a trip to the scene of the wreck at 5 o'clock this morning. -Another body, fully clothed, wearing a pair of tennis shoes, was found on the rocks at the mouth of the Karori stream at dusk this evening. There was a lifebelt round the body. • It was too dark to identify the remains.
