WANGANUI REGATTA, Per Press Association. WANGANUI, Feb. 25. The Wanganiii regatta was held today in fine weather and with a good attendance. The Union Club won eight races out of twelve. The principal results were: — Senior Fours —Wanganui 1, Clifton 2, Union 3; won easily. Junior Fours —Star 1, Union 2, AVanganui 3. vSenior Sculls—Union (Christiansen). 1, Wanganui (Marshall) 2; won by a length. Senior Fours —Union 1, Clifton 2, Wanganui 3; won by'a length. Senior Double Soulls Wanganui (Marshall and\Braithwat<?) 1, Union 2; won easily by four lengths.

The race .committee of the Tiraaru Rowing Club met last evening, and appointed' the following strokes for the Committee Fours: — G. A. Norrie, K. Mayo. E. Millichamp. O. G. Aylen, Chas.' Bradley, G. Nieholls, and H. H. Fraser. They are requested to be in attendance at'the shed at 10 a.m., in order to select their crews. The subcommittee appointed to deal with the question of the running races in connection with the Watson medal, has decided to get them off next week, the first event, a 440 yards flat race, to take place on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. Intending competitors arc requested to note that entries for these races will close next Saturday night. The following have been, appointed as officials:— Handicapper, Mr J. O'Leary: starter, Mr H. H. Fraser; judges," Messrs F. J. Dunn, W. J. Cotterill and C. Bradley. •
