DUNEDIN, Feb. 19. At a. meeting of master bakers, the question of introducing the cash coupon system was discussed, and in view of the reported success elsewhere. t.ho system was unanimously approved.
The Hon. J. T. Paul lias received advice from Sir Joseph Ward thai, he has forwarded £7OO to the ''British Bread Fund," being the first instalment of donations in respect of the appeal of the Otago Trades and Labour Council from all classes of the community, including large collections from the churches of Ofiago. . The committee pledged that no money be spent in distribution expenses. Further amounts will be forwarded' later.
