WOODVILLE MEETING. Per Press Association. WOODVILLE, Feb. 18. Delightful weather was experienced for the concluding day's racing. The sum of £6280 went-through the totalisator, which made £13,510 for the meeting, £3251 less than at the corresponding meeting last year. Results:— SETTLERS' HACK RACE—Kelso 1, Miss Vera 2,.. Awha 3. Won by a length. HACK HURDLES—Whatakura 1, Ruemac 2, Rosegrove 3. Whatakura led all the way and won by sis lengths. BALLANCE HACK WELTER—Aberbrothhock 1, Mildura 2, Notorious 3. Won by two lengths. • AUTUMN HANDlCAP—Sandstreani 1, Merrie Rose 2, Moloch 3. Before reaching the straight Sandstreani drew away and was not. afterwards headed, winning easily by three lengths. KUMEROA PIACK HANDICAP— Genuine 1, Swallow 2, Hydraulic 3. Won by a short head. SHORTS HANDICAP—Vi 1, Kareroa 2, Lochiela 3. Won. by half, a length. HACK SCURRY— Waimarimarie 1, Kimmerian 2, Yalintine 3. Won by a neck. MAHARAHARA HANDICAP— Silken Rein 1, Merrie Zealand 2, Ranpihaeta 3. Won comfortably by a length. TROTTING RECORD BROKEN. ASHBTJRTON, FeK 18. In tho Allonton Handicap at the Ashburton Trotting Club's summer meeting to-dav. Mr W. TapD's Dick Fly (driver, M. Edwards), broke the Australasian record for a mile nnd half, doing the distance in 3min 24see. The Club is presenting a gold medal to Edwards. The previous record was 3min 2Ssec.
