LINCOLN CENTENARY. Press Association-By Telegraph-Copyright Received 4.30 p.m., Feb. 14th. WASHINGTON, Feb. 13. The United States House of Representatives listened .to orations in honour of Abraham Lincoln, and applauded a letter from Britain tendering America sympathy in the celebration of his centenary. Senator Lodge, addressing the Massachusetts legislature, declared that the people, would not long suffer their fcreign relations and peace to be perilled because one State did not choose to submit to the action of the general Government in a matter wherewith the general Government alone could deal.
