determined suicide. Press Assoeiation-By Telegraph-Copyright NEW YORK, Feb. 12. Charles Warner, the well-known actor, committed suicide at New Ycrk. He was found hanging to the door jamb of a room in liis hotel. He left an incoherent hysterical note, alleging that he was persecuted by blackmailers. Mr Harry.Warner explains that his father was suffering from men r tal derangement, and had not appeared on the stage for a year. Mr Warner left cash to pay for his board and funeral expenses. The strap indicated that he had made two attetnpts at strangulation. Per Press "Association. OAMARU, Feb. 14. A voung man named Sep. Dixon was found dead in his room on Saturday ni"ht with a gun alongside and his lie"ad shattered. The suicide had evidently taken place on Friday night. Deceased is said to have been suffering from influenza. DUNEDIN, Feb. 13. This morning the police found in Lake Logan the body of an elderly Prey-beared man, dressed in grey clothes He bad evidently been in the water for but a comparatively short time, decomposition not having set in. The bodv has been identified as that ot Farrv Thomson, a bottle gatherer about GO years of age. He had been complaining of ill-health for some time and often said he wished he was dead,
He was last seen at 6 p.m. on Friday and missed on Saturday morning. Thomson was a native of Dunedin and had no relatives in the colony.
