The Charles F. Crocker, taking adVantage of a favourable wind, got away for Wellington last night, being towed out" of harbour by dredge 350. The Wairuna was expected to arrive at Wellington from Newcastle yesterday. She* has a cargo of coal for Wellington, Lyttelton and Timarn. .mil should he here in the course of a few days. For the convonience of shipping entering the port of Oamarti. a flagstaff has (says last night's "Mail") bp°n erected . on the . eastern end of the northern mole of the harbour. Signalling to vessels by day and by night will be carried on under the same conditions as. those in force for the flagstaff on Cape'Wanbrow.
