Sir Edward Grey, speaking' at Coldstream, dwelt on the more hopeful aspect of the Balkan question, due to the accommodation of Austria and Turkey. It was too much to say that the sky was clear; other clouds were still lowering, but in one part where the clouds were particularly threatening there now showed a gladdening appearance of some clear sky. He denounced the gross misrepresentations of tho Austrian Press regarding Britain's attitude.
