• Advices from French West Africa, state that ■ the Liberian Customs gunboat Lark, comniauded by a British naval reserve officer, iired on a steamer belonging to the German Woermann line off Gloecstpr, The Lark was recently instructed to stop all breaches of the Customs regulations, and to prevent the entrance of ships to Liberian ports which are not open to the trade of the world. The guardship stationed on the Cameroon coast has started for Liberia.
