Mr Borden, ■ Canadian Minister of Militia, after a series of. conferences with Mr Haldane, Minister for War, tilj members of the Army Council, and Major-General Hoad, of Australia, said, on being interviewed,. that there was every prospect of realising the plan the Imperial General. Staff had outlined at the Imperial Conference. There were -certain difficulties relating i : ' to administration still unsettled, but the scheme was progressing, and the Army Council were, in possession of Canada's' and Australia's views, and were striving to formulate a definite plan.
