THE JUBILEE.

The Druids meet at , their hall at 10.3J snarp this morning io arrange tor the procession. Seventy bluejackets from H.AI.S. Pioneer and two officers will take part in the jubilee celebrations to-day. A large number of people were to leave 'l'emuka this morning to take part in the jubilee celebrations. A close holiday is being observed in the borough to-day. The Mayor acknowledges £2 2s each from Mrs Studholme, and Mr Melville Gray; it Is each from Messrs I l '. J. Rolieston, A. Bas'sett, J as. Hay, J. Shepherd, A. Hope, S. Anderson, J. Anstey, J". Talbot, «T. M. Martin, and Mrs Uerry; £1 each from Messrs It. Smith (Winchester), J. Young, W. J.J. Howell, and C. Butcher; 10s 6d from Mr J. Gaitt (Waimate), and 10s each from Mrs Oxhy, Mrs Payling, Air . J. Knubley and Mr J. Levien.

The lecture room in the Drill Hall is crowded with photos of old-time faces and things, and there are also some oil paintings, the whole making a very interesting collection. The vehicle committee advise that the following have placed their cars at the disposal of the committee for the procession : —Air Talbot, holds three and driver; Air Percy Elworthy, four and driver; Air S. Traverser,, three and driver; Air Francis, two and driver. Mr Eddingtou his express with seating accommodation for 14 and driver and Mr A. Copland his vehicle for three and driver. The owners of motor cars are requested t« assemble in Perth street not later than 11 a.m. and traps, buggies, expresses, etc., in Latter ,treet. Brethren of the Loyal Timaru Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., meet at the lodge room this morning at a quarter- past ten instead of 11 o'clock to join the jubilee procession. As some of the sashes are kindly lent for tjie occasion by the Waimate, Pleasant Point and Makikihi lodges, members are particularly asked to'return them to the lodge room after the procession, as they have to bo returned on Friday. The secretary will he in attendance to receive them.
