CHESS.
THE CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Dec. 9. Cash prizes of £'2o, £lO, £o and £3 are to be competed for in the annual tournament for the chess championship of the Dominion, play in which lias been timed to commence here on the morning of December 28th. A special brilliancy prize of £1 Is has been donated bv the Rev. J. S. Ponder.
