Margaret Larkins, aged, 16, a domestic servant, came up for sentence on confession of causing, a small; fire j?i Mr Maitlaud's residence, Trafalgar street south, as she desired to avoid washing day. The medical evidence showed that the girl was erratic, and should bo kept under control, but she had been deserted by her father.'
