A VALUELESS CHEQUE.
FORGER PLEADS GUILTY. At the Magistrates Court yesterday before- Mr C. A. Wiay, S.M-, » young wan named F. J. Slow was charged with forging and uttering a. cheque for £lO. yub-Innpector Green outlined the case, and called the following witnesses-: — (Jeorge Finch gave evidence that <lefenilant had been travelling an entire horse for the season and be owe<l wilnest, £5 10s for accommodation. Sub-Inspector Grern stated that the accused, after arrest, baid that he got the blank ami tilled it himself. b-cau«- he «r.6 abort of money.
