MINERS - :• CONFERENCE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. October 23. At the Minetb' Conference to-dav, a resolution was passed, recommending the Federation to take stepis to use its influence in order to obtain the 'Statutory minimum rate of wages, and statutory hours of labour for all men working underground. It was-also decided that it be compuleory to have ventilation in gold miner, by fans, and not hv natural means or compressed air, also to have the qualitv of the air in mints specified.
