Mr \V. \V. liird, M.A., Inspector of Native Schools has been engaged (luring (lie paat week iu examining the Native School at Arowlienua. On completing his examination on Friday, Mr Bird expressed liiinrvlf well-pleaded villi the result and complimented the headmaster (Mr \V. H. Keeves) on the good work and conduct of the school. A letter received from Mis* Pearson that ->-he and MJss Beckingliam were in a tram car in Dublin wlun a gentleman and two ladies entered, whom they recognised, but who did not. recognise them—Mr and Mis I hi»>i.< hn» and tlwir daughter.
