. The meeting of the -Canterbury Land Board held on Thursday'was attended by Messrs E. C Gold Smith tCommkeioner of Crown Land*),. A. C. Pringle, J. Sealy. J. Stevenson, and J. Allan. Transfers/ were, granted as follows: Lease, of village homesteads 607 6-8, lots 7, 8, 10 ami 11, reserve 125 V, Arundel, 40 acre*, Arthur J. Cooling to -las. H. Harris, t>f Woodbury, labourer; L. in T. 63<Vlot 1, Watapi settlement, 91 acrte, John/l/- Bourn to John. Walker, of Orari, blax'temith. 'A. Lysaght's application for a tenancy of part of the Waihi riverbed near Geral-. dine was granted. . The ranger and Mr Sealy reported on ,-the Temuka Road Board's application to _take shingle from the Waihi riverbed, adjoining- tot 1. Kau'amiri settlement, and it was ,resolved that the application be refused. It- wat> decided to grant the • Levels Cptmty Council control ol part of tho south side of the Tengawai riverbed near Pleasant- Point* for the purpose of extending protective works for the bridge lately erected over the Opihi river.
