Ad American cruiser squadron, numbering eevcn armoured cruisers and as many torpedo boat destroyers, left San 1-rau-cifico on August 25th for Honolulu. When the land was well behind the cruisers took the torpedo boats in tow at tlie end of 10-inch hawsers, and 5-inch steel cables. In thi& petition they will remain except when entering ami leaving Honolulu and Pago Pago, until th»r cruise of thousands of milef is ended. The fleet will stay a week at Honolulu, a week at Pago Pago, and return to Honolulu on October /th. and leave the same day for San Diego. At Magdalena Bay the fleet will have target practice during the entire month of November, and return to San Francisco on December 4th.

Saipoan papers state that arrangements have been made for entertainments in connection with the visit to Apia of two armoured crukrits. and two torpedo boat destroyers. The vessels remain at Apia for two davs.
