; The aimual ' general meeting of ahe Tirnaru' Tennis Club held at the pavilion. Elizabeth street, yesterday a furnoon. The president. Mr *R. C. Tennent. occupied rhe chair, and there was a large attendance- of members. The report- ami balance-sheet were read by the hon. secretary (Mr L. Miles). '1 lie report stared that the membership was now 108, and that- a - considerable • sum of. mowy had been spent- on permanent, improvements to grounds and coui&e. Inter-ehib matches during the year had been very satisfactory. Thanks-were due to Miss Drydcn, Messrs Tennent,..- Rollc-sron, Revell and Cameron.' for" donations to the prist*, fund. The ladies were also thanked for supplying afternoon tea and- luncheon at- the club matchtss. The showed that. £96 ; 11s had been" received jri subscriptions, and- £l2 18s- 6d , from. enn-anceJ fees for matches. ' On the expenditure eide, £74 had be* n: spent in ground improvements, - and of .the other. amount*, .theViargt'st -war; £6 10s, for prizes.
