WAIMATE SALES*
Messrs Wall and Rickman (per E. A. Rickman, auctioneer), report upon their usual weeklv sale as follows : —Pigs.— Weaners, 10s. 12s, 14s 6<l to 16s; email stores, 20s 6d, 21s. 245. 24s 6d, 26s'6d to 295; porker, £2 2s. Cattle and horses.— Cows, springing, £5, £2 17s 6d: heiftr, do.. £3 15s; cow, £4 15s; bay mare in foal, £B. Poultry.—Hens, Is "to Is 3d each; roosters, Is 2d to Is 5d each; B.L. hens, Is 9d each; ducks, Is 9d each. Produce.—Eating potatoes, 6s to 8s per sack ; teed Dates, 6s to 8s per sack; do. Derwents, 5s to 6s per sack; chick wheat. 16s to 17s per sack; oatsheaf chaff, 3s per sa~cfc ; carrots, 2s per sack; Seville oranges. 4s 6d per case: lemons, 7s per case. A large assortment of furniture and sundries sold up t» foil market, prices. POINT SALE. The -usual. fortnightly sale was held at the Point yards yesterday. The yarding comprised 6500 sheep and 56 cattle. In fat sheep the mimblr ; penned was email, and those forward met with spirited competition; For stores and breeding ewes bidding was very slow*, but eventually the bulk of the yarding changed hands. Sales at auction were as follows:—33. fat ewes 12s, 23 do. 175," 30 do. extra heavy 19s, 50 do. 15s, "29 s wethere 15s, 30 do. l£s, pen evree (in lamb) 13s lid, 85 hoggets 14s, 101 do. 13s lOd. 265 do. 12s 3d, 34 do. culls 9s 3d, 225 hoggets i3s Id, 104 do. small 9s, 90 do.. 12s, JSO do-.IOV Bd, 75 do. 10s 3d. 80 do. 14s Id, 139 do. 14s Id, 203 do. 10s 9d, 286 do. small 9s 6d, 133 do. 10s od, 212 two-tooth ewes 16s 10d, 331 four, six and eight-tooth ewes -13s _4d, 427 f.m.do. 9s 6d.. 257 f.m. halfbred ewes_9s sd, 39' ewes and 33 lambs lis Id, all counted.
