LLAGUE of wheelmen. The annual meeting of the South .Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand League of Wheelmen was held in the Wallinglord hotel, Temuka, on Thursday evening. Mr.W. F. Evans 'presided.. The committee in their repurt stated that the various club and societies had during the past season controlled cycle raciDg in a highly satisfactory manner, and the conduct- of riders had been excellent. Forty-eight licenses (an increase of two} had been issued during the year. All the affiliated societies except the North Otago Cycling Club bad held cycle meetings during the year. were granted to the Pleasant Point Caledonian Society, the Mount .Somers Athletic Club. Geraldiue b't. Patrick's and Wailiao Sports Association. Oamaru Hibernian Society, and Fairiie Football Club to hold cycle meetings under League rules. The.Council of the League had. donated £2 2e> to the funds of the Centre. Reference was made to the lets sustained by the. Centre in the death of Mr W. Lawson, viec-pre&ident. The bal-ance-sheet- showed receipts £26 Ck 9d, and expenditure £23 10s 9d, leaving a credit balance of £2 ICts. There were no liabilities, and assets amounted to £3 13s. On the motion of the the report and balance-sheet-were adopted. The following were elected: President, Mr D. Grant ; vice-president, Mr R. TT. Ferguson; secretary and treasurer, Mr J.
