John'Campbell, aged 16, was killed in the bush at Marua this morning by a tree falling on him. Nothing further is available.
GISBORNE. Sept. 1-1
Fears are entertained for the safely of two fishermen named Oleen. a Norwegian, and Walktine, a Russian, who left Gisborne in. the yacht Meteor on Thursday morning for a days fishing. A westerly gale prevailed on Thursday, and it is feared that the yacht capsized, or was blown ont to sea. The men are not known to have any relatives in the Dominion.
Mr James Lawler, a popular young resident of Raincliff, dislocated his arm by a fall from a horse last week. Dr. Paterson attended to the injury.
