MR McNAB'S DENIAL.

WELLINGTON,. Sept. 14.
The Minister of Agriculture contradicts the statement contained in the Press Association telegram, from Auckland ifchab he had reconsidered his refusal to suspend the fruit fly regulations to permit the Hauroto's cargo to be landed and that the mile certificate, will not be required.
In an interview with a "New Zealand Times" reporter thja Hon. Mr McNab said that he had never issued instructions that the shipment was not- to be inspected, or that the mile certificate would not be required. He has,.- declined to interfere in connection with the administration of the rules by the officers of the Department.
