Education Board and the East Christchurch School Committee and who has taken keen interest in matters affecting the Avon electorate, will W a candidate for Avon at the coming election. . . The City . Louisson on the subjects in dispute and it is . hoped that matters will be smoothed. INVERCARGILL, Sept. 11. The Chamber of Commerce to-day discussed the Agricultural Produce Importation and Sale Bill and resolved that the secretary draw up a strong protest against." the Bill going through in the form proposed, at present, and that telegrams be sent to the Minister of Agriculture and Southland members to this effect-. It was urged that the Bill would be detrimental to the farming interests, and press meet heavily on innocent parties, the merchants who purchased infected produce in perfect good faith from a clean sample.
