TEMUKA v. TIMARU. A dozen, enthusiasts of the ; r Timaru Chess Club took part in a moonlight, ride to Temuka last night and met the playeis of the river-side borough over the boards in friendly. games. The visiting team was a fairly good one, and after a very dose and exciting match Temuka won by one gam«.
