The Canterbury Farmere' Co-operative association, Ltd.. report holding two clearing sales this week. On Thursday they soldlire stock, farm implements and effects for Mr W- Palmer. Claremont. .The farm taring been sold every In brought under the hammer was for ab•oltrte sale. Stock and implements were all. «hovn. in. excellent condition, and there being a, good, attendance of boyeis •very lot' was sold at fall market value*. On Friday at a sale, on account of Mr John MfflJken, Clahdeboye. there was a very large attendance of buyers. Competition for all bnes, of Hve stock and lann unpletoeote was very;., keen, the resttlt being a complete clearance at high prices.

STUDHOLME SALE. The usual fortnightly sale was held at the above yards yesterday, when 2760 f.beep, and 160 cattle, w*>ro yarded. For abeep there was a moderate demand, but in some casts the prices* obtained showed an improvement on late sales. Salt* resulted aa follow*:—15 fat eww ll* 3d. 21 wethers 16s 4d. 3 ew« Ms, 40 do. 34» 7d. 22 ewes 13s 6d. 30 hoggets lis 4d,, 60 ewe hoggets 14* lid. 303 do. 12s 7d, 51 ewe hoggets 14» Id, 120 weth era 13s, 56 6 and 8-tooth ewes 17k, 50 I.m. ewes 13s 6d, 57 old ewe* 10*, 30 f.m. ewes' 12» 6d. In cattle there was a splendid enquiry for all classes, tlw result being an almost total clearance of the yarding. Fat steers void to £lO 15*. fat heifers to £8 ?« 6d. fat cows to £5. •tore steers and heifers £2 10* to £4 7* 6d. cows and heifer* springing fioiit £3 to £6 ss.
