The dispute between the men engaged on the tunnel worke at the Otira and the contractors, which was referred to the Conciliation Board, and which was to have been heard at Otira on Wednesday, will not ba dealt by the Board for a week clti ltllCit'i OTAGO TYPOGRAPHICAL UNION. DUNEDIN, August 24. The Otago Typographical Union, holding that (the liquor question ought *° ' Je excluded from the organised Labour platform, declined to adopt the resolution of the Trades Conference, urging workers to vote no license. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr McCullough for . his attitude on the Arbitration Court in connection with the Canterbury farm labourexa' dispute. An appeal being received for financial aid for a body of unionists on strike, it was resolved to endorse die action of the Otago Trades Council in I refusing assistance to unions which had deliberately defied the Arbitration Court by going out on strike.
